Terms of Use
Effective 30 October 2026
These terms cover the JigSpot app and this website. By using JigSpot you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. Questions:jigspot@diom.dev.
Not for navigation
JigSpot is a fishing aid, not a navigation chart. Its depths, reefs, structure, drift predictions, spot scores and weather outlook are estimates built from satellite and survey data. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. A depth shown as "≈" is estimated rather than measured, and reefs and shallows can be missing or in the wrong place.
- Do not use JigSpot to navigate, to avoid hazards or to decide whether it is safe to go out.
- Keep a lookout, carry safety equipment, check official weather advisories (PAGASA) and follow the Philippine Coast Guard.
- You are responsible for your boat, your crew and your decisions at sea.
Your account
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- Spots, trips and catches you save are yours. You let us store them and show them to the friends you choose to share with, so the app can work.
- Don't use JigSpot to harass people, to share someone else's location without their consent, or to break the law, including fishing rules and protected areas.
JigSpot Pro
Pro is a subscription sold through Google Play. Google Play handles payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds under its own terms. Which features are in Pro can change over time; the app's Pro screen shows what is included when you subscribe.
No warranty
JigSpot is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We don't promise that it will be accurate, available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss, damage or injury that comes from using the app or relying on its information.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. You can stop using JigSpot and delete your account at any time from the app or on thedelete account page. These terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines.
Map data and credits
JigSpot's charts are built from open data. In the app, tap the ⓘ button on the map to see the credits for what is on screen.
